Joseph Parkinson

Deputy Chairman at St John of God Health Care

Joseph Parkinson is the current Trustees Deputy Chairman at St John of God Health Care. Joseph has previously held positions as Commercial & Finance Director (Health) at Serco, General Manager Finance & Procurement at G4S, and Director Finance Advisory at Deloitte. Prior to that, they were the Chief Financial Officer at Quercus Real Assets and Group Financial Controller at Capital Dynamics.

Joseph has a long history of experience in finance and healthcare. Joseph began their career at Capital Dynamics in 2009 as Group Financial Controller. Joseph then moved to Quercus Real Assets in 2012, where they served as Chief Financial Officer for two years. In 2014, they joined Deloitte as Director Finance Advisory. Joseph left Deloitte in 2016 to join G4S as General Manager Finance & Procurement. Joseph held this position for two years before moving to Serco in 2018, where they served as Commercial & Finance Director (Health) until 2019. Joseph then returned to St John of God Health Care, where they currently serve as Trustees Deputy Chairman.

Joseph Parkinson undertook an Executive Leadership Programme at the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford. Joseph also holds a Diploma of Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus in Accounting and Finance from RMIT University. Joseph completed their secondary school education at Marcellin College.
