Sara Simmons

Sara Simmons is currently the Project Implementation Manager at St John of God Health Care. Prior to their current position, they served as the Director, Strategy and Operations for Life Sciences and Health Care at Deloitte. In this role, they coordinated the joint planning efforts of the Asia Pacific partner firms to develop the healthcare commissioning strategy incorporating the full project lifecycle. Additionally, they developed the readiness assessment framework used by the Deloitte review team to provide independent advice to the Director General of South Australia on the readiness of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital to commence services on targeted opening date. Finally, over a 15 month period, Sara served as the Engagement Director leading the development and implementation of the transition and activation planning structure that enabled SALHN to achieve their goal to close 200+ services and transition 100+ patients and 700+ staff across 11 different sites. Sara's experience in both strategic planning and project implementation make their uniquely qualified for their current role at St John of God Health Care.

Sara Simmons has a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Sara also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from Purdue University. In addition, they have certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology in Medical Technology and certification from the University of Michigan in LEAN.
