Don J. MacDonald

Don MacDonald, FCPA, FCA, graduated from Carleton University in 1978 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce and qualified for his chartered accountant designation in 1980. A partner at Marcus & Associates Hoare-Dalton, Don specializes in tax services, advising clients on personal and corporate tax matters, estate and compensation planning, as well as tax planning initiatives involving corporate reorganizations, acquisitions and divestitures.

In addition to his professional practice, Don is a lecturer at the Richard Ivey School of Business. Active in the community, Don has served on numerous charitable and not-for-profit boards and committees including London Family Court Clinic, United Way Elgin Middlesex, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation.

Don became a Director on St. Joseph’s Health Care London Board of Directors in June 2018, but his involvement with the St. Joseph’s Board of Directors began four years prior as a community member on the Health Care Ethics Committee.

As a Director, Don currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Resource Planning and Audit Committee (RPAC) of the Board, Chair of the Investment Subcommittee of RPAC and a voting member on the Lawson Finance Audit and Investment Committee.
