Wasif Hani has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Wasif started their career at HSBC as a Customer Service Executive in the Branch Banking Operations Officer role from June 2007 to August 2012. During this time, they provided proactive support to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty and collaborated with Customer Service Units and Relationship Managers on the execution of new products and services.
Wasif then moved on to Dubai Islamic Bank as a Remittance Supervisor and Payments Investigation Supervisor from May 2015 to November 2017. In this role, they investigated and resolved payment related queries, launched a culture of coaching and mentoring to enhance client experience, and managed relationships with customers.
Next, they joined Dream Foundation Cancer Care as a Support Services Manager from January 2018 to August 2019. Here, they focused on employee engagement, advised on organizational transformation, and managed donor relationships.
Most recently, Wasif Hani worked at St. Jude India ChildCare Centres. Wasif started as a Fundraising Manager from September 2019 to March 2022, where they developed and submitted grant applications and proposals, conducted review meetings, and managed stakeholders. Wasif was then promoted to the position of Head - Resource Mobilization in April 2022. In this role, they developed and implemented a fundraising strategy, managed internal and external partnerships, and monitored progress for nationwide resource mobilization efforts.
Wasif Hani completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting from the University of Mumbai in 2006. Wasif then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dubai, from 2006 to 2008. In 2017 to 2019, they attended the SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, where they completed a Post Graduate Program in Development Management with a focus on Social Development. Additionally, Wasif Hani holds a certification as a Certified Islamic Banker from the Academy for International Modern Studies (AIMS) in the UK, and an IFQ - Islamic Finance Qualification from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI).

Every child suffering from cancer, irrespective of economic status, deserves to get the best chance of surviving the disease and leading a full, healthy, happy life. St. Judes provides this chance through its well-established model of cost-free, holistic care during the period of the child's treatment. In major cities of India where low cost cancer treatment is available, children who need treatment for cancer and their parents come to hospitals from distant towns and villages. The hospitals do not treat them as in-patients during the long drawn out treatment and these needy families do not have a place to stay whenever the child is not admitted to hospital. Hence, St Judes provides these families with free of cost: 1) Safe & Hygienic Housing 2) Cooking facilities and Nutrition 3) Transport to and from the hospital 4) Counselling for children and parents 5) Educational and recreational activities 6) Art-based therapy, music therapy and yoga St. Jude India ChildCare Centres has a pan-India presence and currently runs 38 Centres in 9 cities. The organisation is accredited as a GiveIndia Tier 1 Organisation, is rated "VO 1A” by CRISIL (An S&P company) and is also an empanelled partner of the National CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Hub.
