Ranked as one of the greatest engineering feats of the 20th century, the Seaway includes 13 Canadian locks and 2 U.S. locks connecting the lower St. Lawrence River to the Great Lakes. Together with our American counterpart, the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, we coordinate on a host of operational activities, ranging from traffic management to navigation aids and every other conceivable issue you might imagine would be important for a major waterway.

The Technology and Systems team at The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and security of technological infrastructure across the Seaway. This includes analyzing and optimizing information systems, developing and maintaining software applications, safeguarding cybersecurity measures, and coordinating telecom and networking initiatives. The team also collaborates on business process improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency and efficacy of the "marine highway."
