Kristen Economon has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Kristen has spent a significant portion of their career at St. Louis Children's Hospital, starting in 2005 as a staff nurse/charge nurse and later transitioning to roles such as assistant nurse manager and core charge nurse. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as the nurse manager of the Pediatric ICU before taking on the role of interim director in 2023 and later becoming the director of Pediatric Critical Care. Additionally, they have also served as an assistant professor of nursing at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis from 2014 to 2016 and as an evaluation faculty at Western Governors University from 2013 to 2018. Overall, Kristen Economon brings a wealth of experience and expertise to their current role as the Director of Pediatric Critical Care at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Kristen Economon completed their education with a Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis in 2005. Kristen then pursued a Master's Degree in Nursing Education from the same university, graduating in 2007. In 2021, Kristen completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Western Governors University.
