Robert J. Tracy serves as the Police Commissioner for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department since January 2023. Prior to this role, Tracy was the Chief of the Wilmington Department of Police from April 2017 to January 2023 and held the position of Chief at the Chicago Police Department from July 2011 to January 2016. Tracy's career also includes serving as Senior Vice President at United Security Services, Inc. and Vice President of Security Services at Summit Security Services, Inc. Additionally, Tracy was Vice President of Global Crisis Management at Citi and a Captain with the NYPD for over two decades. Tracy holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Marist College, having studied there from 2006 to 2008, and received education from SUNY Oneonta.
