Leslie Davis has a diverse work experience in event planning and management. Leslie started their career in 1993 as a Cruise Director/Travel Director at Clipper Cruise Line Inc, where they successfully managed international expeditions and consistently exceeded company goals. In 2004, they joined Destination St. Louis, Inc. as the Director of Operations, where they supervised a team of 4 staff members and organized small- to large-scale events with budgets ranging from $1K to $300K. Leslie also provided meeting services and transportation logistics for prestigious clients such as Fortune 500 companies, the NCAA, and MLB. In 2016, Leslie worked as an Event Coordinator at John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics before moving on to their current role as the Special Events Director at St. Louis Public Radio in 2018.
Leslie Davis has a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management from the School of Continuing & Professional Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, which they obtained from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication & Nonprofit Management from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis from 2011 to 2015. Leslie also holds additional certifications, including a Destination Management Certified Professional certification from the Association of Destination Management Executives International in 2009 and a Nonprofit Management and Leadership Certificate from the University of Missouri - St. Louis in 2012.
