St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center
Kara Maynes is a Behavioral Health Therapist at St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center since February 2023, utilizing therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, and psychotherapy for high needs SMI patients. Concurrently, Kara serves as a Patient Care Manager at Aurora Behavioral Health System, conducting psychosocial assessments in an in-patient setting. Previously, Kara held multiple roles at Rise Services Inc., including Family Connections Supervisor and Family Preservation Team Lead, overseeing staff and providing direct family support. Other diverse experiences include internships at domestic violence shelters and child care facilities, along with formative roles in customer service and coaching. Kara holds a Master of Social Work from ASU and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies.

For the past 50 years, the professionals at St. Luke’s Behavioral Health Center have provided compassionate care using a holistic approach to children, adolescents, adults and seniors who require psychiatric and substance use care. Located in the heart of Phoenix, the Behavioral Health Center has 127 inpatient beds, a full spectrum of both inpatient and outpatient services, and an additional 20 inpatient geriatric beds located at Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa.
