Alex Johnston

Alex Johnston is a seasoned professional in the classical music sector, currently serving as the Director of the DiMenna Center for Classical Music at the Orchestra of St. Luke's since January 2020. Prior experience includes the role of General Manager at National Sawdust from July 2017 to January 2020, and an extensive tenure at the New York Philharmonic, where Alex held the positions of Director of Concert Production and Operations as well as Operations Manager from August 2006 to July 2017. Earlier roles include Director of Operations at the American Composers Orchestra and the American Symphony Orchestra, along with Operations Manager positions at the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Alex Johnston earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Trinity College-Hartford between 1992 and 1996.
