Elise M. Rodriguez was named Director of College Counseling in 2021 after a nationwide search. Elise comes to St. Margaret’s with more 15 years of experience working in Independent schools both in Los Angeles and New York City. Additionally, she worked as associate dean of admissions at her undergraduate alma mater, the University of Portland, prior to her pursuing her Masters of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
At her previous institutions, Elise modernized the college counseling office, developed new programming, and provided clear, consistent and comprehensive advice to students and families. Elise has sat on numerous professional committees at both the local and national level, and most recently, completed a three-year term as Board Director for the National Association of College and Admission Counselors.
Elise believes that a true sense of partnership is key to building relationships with students and their families, as well as the boarder college admissions community.
