David Weiskopf

David Weiskopf serves as County Administrator for St. Mary's County Government since July 2008, overseeing the daily functions and implementing policies set by the County Commissioners. Previous roles include County Attorney and Deputy County Attorney, where responsibilities encompassed providing legal counsel, drafting legal documents, and representing the county in various legal matters. Additionally, David Weiskopf has been a Professor at the University of Maryland University College since 2014, teaching subjects such as Business Law and Organizational Leadership. Prior legal experience includes positions as an Attorney at the Law Office of David A. Weiskopf, Assistant Public Defender in Maryland, and Law Clerk for the Honorable John Hanson Briscoe. David Weiskopf holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
