Cathy Bailey

Cathy Bailey, FCPA, FCMA, CFP, C.Dir., has extensive work experience in the field of finance and corporate services. Cathy is currently serving as the VP, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer at St. Mary's General Hospital since January 2021. Previously, they held the position of Vice President, Corporate Services & CFO at Fleming College in 2020. From 2007 to 2019, Cathy worked at North East LHIN (formerly North East CCAC) as the VP, Human Resources, Finance & Corporate Services. Their responsibilities included overseeing HR, finance, facilities, and non-clinical procurement activities, as well as supporting the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and Governance Committee of the Board. Cathy also has experience as a Session Leader at Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) from 2015 to 2018, where they mentored, coached, and assisted candidates in the professional CPA program. Cathy also served as a Moderator and Governance & Nominating Committee Chair at CMA Ontario from 2009 to 2015, mentoring and coaching candidates in the CMA Strategic Leadership Program. Additionally, Cathy has served as a Board Governor at YMCA Sudbury from 2006 to 2014 and as the Past Chair of CMA Ontario Board from 2009 to 2010. In previous roles, they worked as a Director of Financial Services at NOMEC (Northeastern Ontario Medical Education Corporation) from 2002 to 2008 and as a Director of Finance at YMCA Sudbury from 1999 to 2002. Cathy's career began at CMA Ontario, where they served as the Sudbury Chapter Chair from 1995 to 1999. Overall, Cathy Bailey brings a wealth of financial expertise and leadership experience to the organizations they have worked with.

Cathy Bailey, FCPA, FCMA, CFP, C.Dir. completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, between 2015 and 2022. Cathy also obtained a CPA, CMA designation from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 1992, specializing in Accounting and Finance, after completing their education from 1988 to 1992.
