Charbel Habib Ph.D., Dabr

Charbel Habib, PhD, DABR has a diverse work experience in the field of medical physics and radiology. Charbel is currently serving as the Chief Medical Physicist at St. Mary's of Michigan since November 2021, after working as a Medical Physicist in the same organization from December 2018 to November 2021. Charbel is also an Adjunct Instructor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine from February 2017 to November 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Medical Physics Resident at Beaumont Health from February 2016 to November 2018. Charbel also has experience as an Information Management Advisor at Magnetic Resonance Innovations, Inc from October 2014 to February 2018. Charbel has held various roles at Wayne State University, including Assistant Professor of Radiology, Research Assistant, Graduate Research Assistant, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. Charbel also worked as a Student Assistant at Wayne State University School of Medicine. In addition, they are currently serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Central Michigan University since February 2019.

Charbel Habib, PhD, DABR has a strong education background in the field of medical physics and biomedical/medical engineering. Charbel started their educational journey in 2002 at Notre Dame University in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2007.

Continuing their education, they then attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from 2007 to 2009. Charbel further advanced their knowledge in the same field, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Wayne State University in 2013.

In 2014, Charbel Habib enrolled at Wayne State University once again and pursued a Master's Degree in Medical Physics, which they completed in 2016. Their commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident with their certification in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics, obtained in May 2019 from the American Board of Radiology.
