Nigel Carpenter

Nigel Carpenter is an accomplished hotelier and business executive with extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. Since November 2001, Nigel has served as the Proprietor of St Michaels Hotel & Spa, where significant investments totaling £4 million have transformed the property. Prior to this role, Nigel was the Group Managing Director at Block Hotels, the largest hotel and leisure group in East Africa, overseeing a £35 million turnover and approximately 1,500 employees. Additionally, Nigel played a key role as the first Chief Executive of the Kenya Tourist Board, developing strategies for marketing Kenya as a premier tourist destination. With a background that includes senior positions in marketing at companies such as Grand Metropolitan Brewing and Thomson Travel Group, Nigel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies from Oxford Brookes University.
