Marco Longoni

Marco Longoni is a seasoned firmware engineer currently working at STMicroelectronics since June 2022. With previous experience at Flex, Kalpa, and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Marco has expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware for biomedical and wearable devices, including the implementation of systems for detecting anomalous heartbeats. Proficient in device driver development, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and various technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy and Arm Cortex processors, Marco possesses a solid foundation in software architecture for embedded systems. Marco holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Ingegneria Informatica from Politecnico di Milano, complemented by early experience as an electronic technician in R&D and technical support roles.
