Sharon is a Registered Nurse with 20 years of experience, this is her first role in the Charity sector having worked with local NHS organisations prior to joining St Nicholas Hospice Care during April 2021.
Starting her career in Oncology/Haematology briefly, Sharon’s background has included Community Nursing and supporting patients at the point of discharge from hospital. She has also worked in Commissioning and more recently with Community Hospitals and Community Health Teams in Senior Matron and Head of Nursing roles to support the delivery of high quality care.
Sharon uses her influence to work towards delivering clinical services which are as individualised as possible, with an understanding of the importance of good end of life care and a belief that there is only one chance to provide this for patients, and those who love and care for them.
Sharon undertakes the roles of Registered Manager and Accountable Office for Controlled Drugs, as part of her responsibilities.
