Nick Baker

Head Grounds Keeper at St. Paul Saints

Nick Baker has extensive experience in groundskeeping, starting with internships at the New York Mets and Iowa Cubs in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Nick then worked as a grounds crew member for the Minnesota Twins from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, Baker joined the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Athletics Groundskeeper. Currently, they are the Head Grounds Keeper for the St. Paul Saints.

Nick Baker completed their Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Turf and Greenhouse Management from Indian Hills Community College, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Turf and Turfgrass Management from Iowa State University, graduating in 2011.

The St. Paul Saints are a professional baseball team based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Saints are in their second season as the Triple-A affiliate for the Minnesota Twins. Founded in 1993, today's Saints were a Northern League team through 2005. In 2006 the team was a founding member of the modern American Association. The majority owner is Marvin Goldklang who also owns a stake in five other minor league baseball teams throughout the country (Fort Myers Miracle, Sioux Falls Canaries, Hudson Valley Renegades, Charleston RiverDogs and Brockton Rox).
