James Nawoichyk Mpa

James Nawoichyk MPA, MBA, has extensive experience in law enforcement and public safety. Currently serving as a Deputy Sheriff in the Mounted Police Unit at the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, a position held since March 2017, James also has a longstanding role as Director of Campus Health and Safety and Director of Campus Safety and Risk Management at St. Thomas Aquinas College, transitioning to an advisory role in July 2024. Previous positions include Police Detective at the Town of Orangetown Police Department and Command Sergeant Major in the New York Army National Guard. Additionally, James worked as a Police Officer at the Village of Spring Valley Police Department. Academically, James holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Administration, along with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice from St. Thomas Aquinas College.
