William Shapiro Pe

William Shapiro, PE, MBA, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sustainability and compliance. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas Aquinas College and a member of the Sustainability Committee, William teaches math, science, and chemistry while actively promoting sustainability initiatives. As a member of the Green Team Advisory Board for the Township of Rivervale, NJ, William advises on sustainability issues. At Bergen Community College, William holds the position of Co Sustainability Officer and Lecturer, focusing on greening efforts and reporting findings to management. In addition, William is the President of WS Strategies, overseeing environmental performance, safety compliance, cost reductions, and risk assessments. William’s previous role as Director of Safety, Environment, and Governmental Affairs at Volvo Cars of North America involved managing a team and budget while ensuring regulatory compliance. William holds an MBA in Management from Pace University, a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from New York University, and a Bachelor’s in Engineering from City College of New York.
