Merrell Dickey, MA, MDiv has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 1994, Dickey worked as an Assistant Pastor for the Diocese of St. Petersburg until 2002. In 2002, they worked as a Project Coordinator for the University of Creation Spirituality, followed by roles as a Sales Specialist for Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus Group, and later as a Specialist and Sales Associate for Neiman Marcus Group. From 2005 to 2010, Dickey served as the Director of Geographic Outreach & Corporate Relations for the University of South Florida Alumni Association.

Dickey then transitioned into the field of education, working as an Adjunct Faculty in Humanities at Hillsborough Community College starting in 2005. From there, they moved to the University of South Florida, where they held the role of Director of Development for Libraries, raising significant funds for the USF Libraries and contributing to surpassing the university's capital campaign goal. In 2015, Dickey joined the Hillsborough Education Foundation as the Senior Director of Development, responsible for managing various development programs.

Later, in 2017, they joined St. Vincent de Paul CARES as the Chief of Development, leading a team responsible for engaging the private sector in ending homelessness and helping people out of poverty in 16 Florida counties. In 2018, Dickey became an Ordained Minister at New Journey Ministries Inc. With their varied experiences, Dickey has developed a strong skill set in development operations, personal portfolio management, fundraising, and building relationships with various stakeholders.

Merrell Dickey, MA, MDiv, has a diverse educational background. Merrell completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication at the University of South Florida. Merrell then went on to pursue further studies at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary and St. John Vianney College Seminary, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Theology and a Master of Divinity degree. Additionally, they achieved a Certificate of Completion in Philosophy from St. John Vianney College Seminary.
