Jonathan Walker

Jonathan Walker, CISSP, has extensive experience in the field of information security and systems architecture. Jonathan currently holds the position of Director of Information Security & Systems Architecture at St. Vrain Valley Schools since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Information Security Engineer at the same organization from June 2021 to July 2023.

Before joining St. Vrain Valley Schools, Jonathan served as an IT Manager at Employees Retirement System of Texas from May 2019 to June 2021. Jonathan also worked as an Information Security - System Administrator at NTT DATA Services from January 2019 to May 2019.

Jonathan's previous experience includes the role of Director of IT at The Westminster Schools from June 2013 to May 2018. Jonathan served as a Network & Systems Administrator at Pensacola Catholic High School from September 2004 to June 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Lead Deployment Technician (NMCI) at Qualxserv from May 2002 to November 2004 and as a Network Administrator at McMahon-Hadder Insurance from July 2001 to May 2002. Their early experience in the field of technology includes the role of Assistant Technology Coordinator at Escambia County School District - Title I from June 1999 to July 2001.

Jonathan Walker, CISSP, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Strayer University from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed an A.A. degree in C.I.S. from Pensacola State College between 2002 and 2006. Jonathan's education history also includes attending Escambia High School from 1997 to 2001. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in June 2023. Additionally, Jonathan holds certifications as a Certified Level 1 Duo Administrator from Duo Security (obtained in August 2022), a Support Center Manager from HDI (obtained in 2015), and an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) from Apple (obtained in 2013).
