Maryel Barron Emba

Maryel Barron EMBA has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Maryel began their career in 2012 as an Intermediate Accountant at El Paso County. In 2014, they joined Boulder County as an Accountant II - Grant Manager, where they managed grants and supported financial operations until 2019. From 2019 to 2022, Maryel served as the Contracts, Purchasing, and Budget Manager at Boulder County, overseeing various departments and implementing an ERP system. Maryel also briefly acted as the Interim Director of Administration and Finance, providing support and guidance to the Executive Director. In 2022, Maryel joined Salud Family Health Centers as a Financial Controller, where they worked until 2023. Currently, from September 2023 onwards, Maryel holds the position of Director of Disbursements- Financial Services at St. Vrain Valley Schools.

Maryel Barron completed their Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business. Prior to their EMBA, they obtained a Bachelors of Accountancy in Accounting with a minor in Finance and Risk Management from New Mexico State University. Maryel also holds a Certification in Medical/Clinical Assistant from International Business College, Texas.
