Ed Rael

Ed Rael is an experienced professional in the medical optics and materials manufacturing sectors, currently serving as the Manager of Collamer Material Manufacturing and Aliso Viejo Facility at STAAR Surgical since 2000. Responsibilities include formulating proprietary materials for Visian lenses and Aquaflow glaucoma drainage devices, along with overseeing facility operations. Prior to this role, Ed held various positions at STAAR Surgical, including Director of Manufacturing, and also gained extensive experience as an R&D Engineer and Production Manager at Allergan Medical Optics, as well as roles at Innovative Surgical Products and CILCO Inc. Ed's educational background includes studies at National University from 1984 to 1987.
