Jenny Zhenyi Hou

Jenny Zhenyi Hou is a skilled vocalist with extensive experience in various opera productions. Currently, Jenny serves as an ensemble member at Staatstheater Braunschweig since August 2018. Previous roles include performing as an opera singer at Landestheater Niederbayern in 2016 and participating in notable performances such as G. Mahler's "Das Lied von der Erde" in Bulgaria and Brahms' "Gestillte Sehnsucht" at WIEN MUSIK UNI in 2014. Jenny's repertoire also includes significant roles in Wagner's "Götterdämmerung" and "Das Rheingold," Mendelssohn's "Ein Sommernachtstraum," and Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas." Educational credentials include a Doctorate degree in singing and opera from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, completed in 2014.
