Ursula Thinnes

Ursula Thinnes is a seasoned theater professional with extensive experience in dramaturgy and artistic direction. Currently serving as Schauspieldirektorin at Staatstheater Braunschweig since August 2020, Ursula previously held the position of Dramaturgin at Schauspiel Frankfurt from August 2017 to July 2020. Prior experience includes a tenure as Chefdramaturgin at Saarländisches Staatstheater from August 2006 to July 2017. Ursula Thinnes holds a Magister degree in Theaterwissenschaft, Neuere Geschichte, and Neuere Deutsche Literatur from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where studies were completed between August 1986 and February 1992.
