Sybren Koopmans

Sybren Koopmans is a legal professional specializing in environmental law, currently serving as a judicial advisor at STAB since January 2019, advising the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State and various administrative judges. In addition, Sybren holds the position of substitute judge at the Gelderland court since July 2022, and previously worked as a jurist at the same court. Sybren's extensive experience in municipal governance includes roles as a senior policy developer for spatial planning at the Municipality of Kampen and as a policy officer at the Municipality of Meppel. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Dutch law with a specialization in constitutional and administrative law from the University of Groningen, as well as a Bachelor's degree in law and a Bachelor’s degree in economics.
