George Yan

George Yan is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the engineering and manufacturing sectors, particularly within the automotive and fluid power industries. Currently serving as the Business Director for Fluid Power Solutions at Stackpole International since February 2008, George Yan leads the Canada engineering and R&D team while driving business transformations in North America. Previous roles include Director of the Global Mechatronics Business Unit, General Manager of Stackpole Automotive Engineered Products in China, and Plant Manager for the same division. His earlier career includes significant positions at Gates Corporation, where George Yan was integral in establishing joint ventures in Asia, and a track record of operational management with successful turnarounds and factory setups in diverse environments. George Yan holds an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University and a degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University.
