Michael Conway has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to 2017. Michael is the founder and executive director of Stacks+Joules since 2017. Prior to this, they worked as a Linked Learning Curriculum Specialist and Program Associate at the Center for Powerful Public Schools from 2014 to 2017. Michael also served as the Engineering Environmental Innovation Program Director & Senior Program Associate at the same organization from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they were a mathematics teacher at Maya Angelou Academy at New Beginnings in 2013. From 2008 to 2012, they held multiple roles at High School for Recording Arts, including lead advisor, advisor/math facilitator, and project co-facilitator for a service learning project. Lastly, they were a member of the Coallition of Essential Schools from 2000 to 2012.

Michael Conway attended St. John's College from 1989 to 1994 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies.
