Wim Geirnaerdt

Wim Geirnaerdt has extensive experience in community engagement and advocacy, currently serving as a volunteer mediator for Stad Gent since September 2019. Formerly, a significant tenure at UNIZO spanned from July 1992 to December 2024, where roles included Coordinator of Local Advocacy and Inclusion Committee Leader, as well as Regional Director for Gent-Meetjesland and Provincial Secretary, focusing on local support and provincial coordination. Earlier professional experience includes serving as a Commercial Trainer at Spaarkrediet from 1990 to 1992. Wim Geirnaerdt holds a certificate in recognized mediation for civil, commercial, and family matters from Ghent University and a degree in Pedagogical Sciences from KU Leuven.
