Dirk Selis

Dirk Selis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in journalism, public policy, and criminology. Currently a journalist at De Persgroep Publishing since July 2018, Selis also serves as kabinetschef at Stad Sint-Truiden, where city policy is managed since May 2013. In academia, Selis has been a docent Criminologie at PXL Business since January 2013, overseeing teaching, research, and publications on the history of terrorism. Previous roles include serving as woordvoerder at Hogeschool PXL from January 2000 to April 2013, focusing on communication strategies in media-sensitive environments, and as an adviseur at FOD Binnenlandse Zaken from January 1997 to April 2000 in a classified capacity. Selis holds a Licentiate degree in Criminology from KU Leuven and has educational credentials from Aangenomen College.
