Dr. Karen Castle is a Senior Lecturer at Staffordshire University since May 2021 and has been the Director of Castle.Ed Training Ltd since September 2018. Prior experience includes serving as a Principal Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University from December 2010 to December 2020, managing the outreach centre at Edge Hill University from 2005 to 2009, and overseeing the health and social care curriculum as Curriculum Manager at West Cheshire College from 2004 to 2005. Additionally, Dr. Castle held the role of Matron/Manager at Horsford Nursing and Residential Home from 1998 to 2002, served as Senior Tutor at the Primary Care Agency from 1996 to 2001, and worked as a Hospital Prison Officer for HM Prison and Probation Service from 1988 to 1995. Dr. Castle's educational background includes a Doctorate of Education from Keele University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Management from Anglia Ruskin University, along with various qualifications in nursing and education. Dr. Castle is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
