Jacqui ‘Jax’ Griffin

Jacqui ‘Jax’ Griffin is a seasoned professional in film and media education and production, currently serving as a Part-time Lecturer at Staffordshire University since March 2024, teaching MA modules related to Practice As Research and Building a Portfolio. Co-owner and Creative Development Manager at Curiouser & Curiouser Media since September 2013, Jacqui focuses on story development, mentoring, and creative collaboration. Previous roles include Lecturer in Film & Video Production and Research Assistant at the University of Bradford, where Jacqui led a project on youth and diversity in the screen industries. Additional experience encompasses strategic advising and festival direction in various film initiatives, including the Drunken Film Fest. Jacqui holds a PhD in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from the University of East Anglia and has earned a MA in Digital Filmmaking from the University of Bradford, along with a certificate in Directing and Sound Design from the Los Angeles Film School.
