Kate Chisholm serves as the Executive Director of the Peter Foley Music Project, dedicated to promoting the works of composer/lyricist Peter Foley. Since April 2017, Kate Chisholm has been the Managing Editor of the SDC Journal, a magazine that amplifies the voices of stage directors and choreographers. A versatile theater artist, Kate Chisholm has established a career as a playwright and director, most notably for the Richard Rodgers Award-winning musical THE HIDDEN SKY. Additional experience includes teaching theater in NYC middle schools, managing promotional efforts at the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music, writing for The Leonard Bernstein Office, and directing publications for the International Partnership for Service-Learning and Leadership. Academic credentials include a BA in English from Yale University and an MFA in Theatre (Directing) from Towson University.

SDC is the theatrical union that unites, empowers, and protects professional stage Directors and Choreographers throughout the United States. Our mission is to foster a national community of professional stage Directors and Choreographers by protecting the rights, health and livelihoods of all our Members. To facilitate the exchange of ideas, information and opportunities, while educating the current and future generations about the role of Directors and Choreographers and providing effective administration, negotiations and contractual support.
