Scott Straughan

Scott Straughan has a diverse work experience in the IT sector. Scott is currently serving as an IT Programme Director at Stagecoach Group plc. Prior to this, they worked at Lloyds Banking Group as an Infrastructure Portfolio Manager and Senior Infrastructure Delivery Manager. Scott also worked at SA Capabilities as a Senior Consultant. In addition, they have held positions at MOD as a Requirements Manager and Military Data Processing, where they were responsible for operational IT and communication with classified systems users. Earlier in their career, Scott was the Head of Information Systems Management Team at NATO and served as the Lead IT Instructor at HMS Dryad, where they trained personnel on the Naval Merchant Shipping Information System.

Scott Straughan has a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology/Technician from The University of Salford, which they completed from 1991 to 1994. Scott also has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology from The Open University, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. Scott also obtained a Diploma in Information Technology from The Open University in 2000. In 2003, they completed a Certificate in Social Sciences from The Open University as well as a course in Business Systems Investigation from Shrivenham. Lastly, Scott has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from The Open University, which they completed from 2009 to 2012.
