Gil Hoffer

Gil Hoffer is currently an advisor at StageOne Ventures. Previously, they were the VP Software Development at Oracle, responsible for Ravello's engineering as part of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Gil dealt extensively with Ravello's integration into OCI, and the incubation of new projects as part of OCI. Hoffer also managed the entire Ravello organization from March 2018 to October 2018. Prior to Oracle, Hoffer was the VP R&D at ravello systems which was acquired by Oracle in 2016. From 2011 to 2016, they were in charge of developing the company's product strategy and roadmap while also evangelizing the product internally and externally. Before ravello systems, Hoffer served as the CTO at IDF from 2005 to 2011 where they were responsible for a development section with around 120 software developers, hardware engineers, and IT personnel. Gil was also a consultant for various complex projects in a wide variety of technologies (Java, C++, Python, Linux, SOA, Embedded, RT, UI, and HPC), setting strategic technological roadmaps and development standards. Hoffer started their career as a software developer at Rafael from 2003 to 2004.

Gil Hoffer received a B.A. in Computer Science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and an M.Sc in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
