John Schelhaas

John Schelhaas possesses extensive experience in operational leadership within the coatings industry. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Stahl since November 2019, John previously held the position of Director of Manufacturing for NW Europe at AkzoNobel Paints & Coatings from December 2017 to November 2019. Throughout a lengthy tenure at AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings, John held multiple leadership roles including Director of Integrated Supply Chain, Director of Supply Chain and RD&I, and Operations Manager for Salt. John earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics from the University of Twente, completing the degree in 1988, and attended Christelijk Lyceum Apeldoorn from 1977 to 1983.
