Chris Brennan has extensive experience in emergency services and business management. Currently serving as Fire Marshal and previously as a firefighter since February 2008 at the City of Stamford Fire Department, Chris Brennan has demonstrated a commitment to public safety. Prior to this role, Chris Brennan owned and operated Brennan's Restaurant from August 1994 to August 2013. Educational background includes a degree from Sacred Heart University, attended from 1990 to 1994, and graduation from Westhill High School, where attendance was from 1984 to 1987.

Each day, 80,000 commuters use an elaborate transportation network to reach Stamford. The Stamford Train Station boasts the greatest number of user with approximately 38,000 riders between Metro-North and Amtrak using the station, making it the busiest station outside of Grand Central Terminal. The largest portion of commuter traveling to Stamford come by car using either the Connecticut Turnpike (I‑95), the Merritt Parkway, and US Route 1, which passes through the downtown area.
