Michael P. Diliberto

Michael P. Diliberto is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Gartner, having joined the company in May 2016. As CIO, Michael is responsible for driving the technology and innovation required to sustain the growth of the largest research and advisory firm in world. Research provided by Gartner targets CIOs, senior IT, marketing and other CxO leaders. Gartner clients include large corporations, government agencies, technology companies, and the investment community.

Prior to Gartner, Mr. Diliberto was the CIO of priceline.com, a leader in online travel and related services, where he was responsible for the development and maintenance of the priceline.com website and the infrastructure that supported the business. During his years of service, priceline.com grew from an Internet startup to an industry leader with a market capitalization over $90 billion.

Prior to joining priceline.com in 1998, Mr. Diliberto held several senior information technology positions at News Corporation, where he was instrumental in establishing an online presence for properties such as Fox News, Fox Sports, TV Guide and helped launch Major League Baseball’s online presence. He also held several leadership positions at Prodigy Services Company, one of the pioneering consumer-focused online services, including Vice President of Content Engineering. Mr. Diliberto also served as a Sergeant in the US Army Reserves for 9 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from State University of New York at New Paltz.
