Stamus Networks
Markus Kont is a cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in threat research and software engineering. Currently serving as a threat researcher and software engineer at Stamus Networks since July 2020, Markus specializes in network security monitoring. Prior to this role, Markus worked as a researcher at NATO CCD COE from March 2015 to June 2020, focusing on intrusion detection, DevOps, and data processing. Earlier experience includes serving as a server administrator at Spin TEK AS from November 2011 to May 2017, where infrastructure hacking was a key responsibility, and a guard at Kaitseliit from 2008 to 2011, monitoring surveillance and performing patrol duties for the Estonian Defense Force. Markus holds a PhD candidacy in Cybersecurity, monitoring and data mining from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology, along with a Master of Science in Cyber Security and a diploma in Information Systems Administration from the same institution and Estonian Information Technology College, respectively.
