Wendy Holcomb is a dedicated educational professional with extensive experience in teaching and parent education. Currently serving as a Parent Educator at Stand for Children since January 2014, Wendy focuses on empowering parents to enhance their child's academic journey and to effectively engage with schools. Prior to this role, Wendy worked as a Secondary Educator at Bellarmine Preparatory High School from 1991 to 2006, where responsibilities included teaching social studies, coordinating service-learning initiatives, and promoting diversity. Wendy began teaching social studies at Tumwater High School from 1987 to 1991, utilizing service-learning and cooperative learning methodologies. Wendy holds a Master's degree in European History from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in European History and Education from Bucknell University.
