Dave Barnett

Dave Barnett started their work experience in 1997 as a Manager of 2nd level support at MCI. Dave then worked at Yipes Enterprise Services as a Manager of Customer Network Engineering from 2004 to 2006. At Yipes, they were responsible for compatibility between Yipes' layer-2 Ethernet service and various customer applications. Dave also handled IP address allocation, wrote RFI/RFP documents, and managed incoming service requests.

From 2006 to 2010, Dave worked at XDS as Director of Network Integration Lab & SIMtone I&M. During this time, they also served as the Director of SIMtone I&M for SIMtone Corporation.

In 2010, Dave joined Stand Sure Systems as a Senior Engineer. Dave specialized in Linux administration, network design and implementation, server configuration, and performance tuning. Stand Sure Systems catered to start-ups in the software release stage.

Dave's most recent work experience was as the Chief Engineer at KVMR FM, starting in 2012. Dave relocated to the foothills and left the Bay Area for this role.

Dave Barnett attended South Dakota Mines from 1975 to 1979, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
