Valdénia Gomes

Val Delos Santos-Duarte has extensive experience in education, beginning as a teacher at Makiki Christian Pre-School and later serving as Division Chair for the Young Pre-School Division at Star of The Sea Early Learning Center. Currently, Val has been an educator at St. Anthony Grade School / St. Anthony School since August 1992 and also works as a Plant Quarantine Aide at USDA since August 2019. Additionally, Val has a background in crisis intervention and outreach through roles at Kapiolani Women's and Children's Medical Center. Val holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Ecological Teaching and Learning from Lesley University, a Master of Education from Heritage University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Dual Major: Social Work and Sociology from Pacific University, along with Child Development Accreditation from Honolulu Community College.
