Jim Byrden

Jim Byrden has extensive experience in information security and audit management, currently serving as the Head of Information and Cyber Security Assurance & Testing at Standard Chartered Bank since November 2006. In this role, Jim leads the development and implementation of internal audit responses for information and cyber security, delivering independent assurance on the effectiveness of security controls. Previous positions include Head of Information and Cyber Security Audit, where Jim combined technical skills with business knowledge to oversee the audit team, and Senior Audit Manager with a focus on technology audit management. Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank, Jim held positions at Credit Suisse as a Vice President managing development tools and at ING Barings as a team lead, where Jim developed a significant equity trading system. Jim holds a BSc in Computers along with studies in Maths, Psychology, Chemistry, and Biology from University College Dublin.
