CEO, Wealth & Retail Banking at Standard Chartered Bank

Judy is Standard Chartered Bank’s Chief Executive Officer for Consumer, Private and Business Banking (CPBB) and is responsible for leading the business to grow our affluent client base, develop innovative mass-market digital banking solutions, and deliver exceptional yet distinctive experiences to each of our client segments. She assumed the role on 1 January 2021 and has been a member of the Group Management Team since 2018.

Prior to this, Judy was Regional Chief Executive Officer for ASEAN and South Asia (ASA) and led the business and execution of the Bank’s strategy across fifteen footprint markets within the region. Under her leadership, ASA delivered significant improvement in returns, grew its client base, especially in the affluent segment, and made great strides in helping our clients capture unique opportunities in many of the global and regional trade routes, promoting economic and social development in some of the most exciting and dynamic markets in our network.

Judy is based in Singapore and has been playing an active role in shaping and contributing to Singapore’s growth as a financial centre and a global business hub for the Group. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Singapore in 2015, the second highest performance contributor to the Group. She is serving on several industry and statutory bodies including the Urban and Redevelopment Authority Board and Workforce Singapore. She was previously the Vice Chairperson of the Association of Banks in Singapore as well as a member of The Institute of Banking and Finance Council.

Judy joined the Bank in 2009 as Global Head of Wealth Management. She led the strategic development and management of wealth management products, investment strategy and advisory services for the Bank. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, she spent 18 years in Citibank in various country and regional leadership roles in retail banking, wealth management and affluent client strategy.

Judy holds a Bachelor degree in Microbiology and a MBA in Finance from the University of British Columbia, Canada.
