Ian Jenkins

Interim CFO at Standard Life Aberdeen

Ian was appointed as Interim Chief Financial Officer in May 2023 - subject to regulatory approval. He brings more than 30 years’ experience in financial services across investment, retail and wholesale banking where he has held senior leadership roles in both Finance and Risk. He has a proven track record of successfully leading change and transformations.

Before his appointment, Ian was Chief Financial and Risk Officer for two and a half years at the Diem Association (formerly Facebook’s digital currency project), where he was based in Geneva.

Ian previously spent eighteen months at the business, at that time Standard Life Aberdeen plc, supporting the Finance teams. Prior to this, he spent over twelve years at HSBC as a Group General Manager, undertaking leadership roles as the Head of Business Finance, European CFO and latterly as Deputy Group Finance Director.

In other roles Ian’s previous experience includes serving as Chief Risk Officer at Santander UK (previously Abbey National plc) and twelve years at Credit Suisse in London and Hong Kong as a Managing Director.

Ian is a non-executive director of Starling Bank and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
