C.J. Colavito's work experience begins in 1999 as a Project Engineer Intern at Lutron Electronics, followed by a Plant Engineer Internship at McKee Foods Corporation in 2002. From 2003 to 2007, Colavito worked as a Product Development Engineer at Printpack, Inc., specializing in thermoformed plastic food packaging. In 2007, Colavito served as a Volunteer Program Consultant at Grupo Fenix, managing sustainable development projects and primarily working on solar box cookers. Colavito joined Standard Solar in 2008 as a Commercial Solar Project Manager and later held roles including Commercial Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, and currently serves as the VP of Engineering. At Standard Solar, Colavito oversees the commercial engineering department and manages PV system designs ranging from 50 kW to multi MW.

C.J. Colavito, REP has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Energy, and Environment. Additionally, C.J. has obtained several certifications in the field of renewable energy and energy sales.
