Chris Pienaar serves as the Director of Engineering at The Standard since May 2018 and has been with UTi Worldwide (now DSV Group) since December 2005, where Chris held the position of Senior Manager for Enterprise Database Architecture & Engineering since 2011, following roles in team leadership and as an Oracle DBA. Previous experience includes working as an Oracle Database Administrator at Bull, where tasks involved the development of a tax database system for the Zambian Revenue Authority, and at Sagem, contributing to the launch of a National ID Card system for Nigeria. Chris began a career as a Computer Engineer at Viglen Ltd, focusing on system testing and administration. Education includes a Diploma in Business Administration and Management from Heriot-Watt University, complemented by studies at the University of South Africa.
