Mark Frie, FSA, MAAA, currently serves as Senior Director of Engagement and Strategy at The Standard, focusing on engaging the actuarial community and driving actuarial transformation by bridging gaps between people, processes, technology, and data strategies. Previously, Mark held roles as Senior Director & Actuary and Consulting Actuary at The Standard, where leadership included coordinating actuarial transformation efforts across company-wide initiatives. At Deloitte Consulting, Mark managed teams on transformational projects for actuarial departments and provided audit oversight. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Chief Actuary at Securian Financial Group, overseeing actuarial functions and governance practices, as well as working as an Associate Actuary, managing teams on financial reporting and product development. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
