Jeff Carter

Jeff Carter currently serves as the Senior Director of Chemistry at Standard BioTools, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Jeff served as Senior Director of Chemistry at SomaLogic from February 2021 to January 2024 and Vice President of Operations at Velocity Sciences from July 2019 to February 2021. Jeff's extensive experience at SomaLogic includes a previous tenure as Director of Process Chemistry from June 2001 to July 2019. Early in the career, Jeff worked as Associate Director of Genetic Medicines at Proligo and held supervisory roles in aptamer manufacturing at Nexstar Pharmaceuticals and NeXstar Pharmaceutical Inc. Jeff holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado Boulder (2012-2014) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Maryland (1985-1990).
